My cat's a golden eyed bombay cat and i didnt pay a penny for him as he was born from my black tortoise shell cat.

We currently have 3 cats; our #1 & #3 are both black. #1 is our senior guy, @13+yo & the vet said he may actually be of siamese descent .. think he said it's due to the structure of his face & the shape of his eyeballs, which are mostly green w some gold. Sadly, our big boy has some weird form of bone/cartilage/joint condition that affects his hind ankles. Poor kid.. but he's not in any pain, as long as those ankles aren't touched! They're very tender & sore, & I believe he'll need surgery & medication.
Not probably a month ago, we found the sweetest little stray, black kitten. Our #3, he's got to be less than 3mos old. He's so darn cute & possibly a Bombay..tho, possibly not lol! This little kitty is super gentle, inquisitive, gets right up to our faces & looks us directly in the eyes. He has the longest legs, a long neck & genuinely, the longest tail I've seen on a cat in awhile! Maybe its bc our other babies tails are shorter compared to his, so his looks extra long,😂 idk for sure..yet! This little, furry shadow ball of love is the most affectionate baby.. he will lay on our necks, in attempt to lay ON our heads, so he can snuggle as close to us, as possible. Sometimes I call him 'Lil Door' bc his super high-pitched, itty bitty mow, sounds like the softest door creaking. 😍😍😍He's Too Adorable!! Lil 'Ebony giraffe-kitty' still needs to go to the vet, for shots & all else. However, it'll be a little while just yet, bc we just had our white & apricot coloured fluffernutter (our #2) fixed a few days ago. He's abt 2½ yrs old.
But yeah.. cats are Awesome.. & so are dogs!!
Also, black cats (& ALL cats) are the opposite of the old wives tale that says they're 'bad luck' .. as they are a Blessing, bring good luck & help us feel contented!!🖤🐈 🧡🐈 🖤🐈 🐾🐾🐾 ❤❤❤🥰

They come from Bombay, in India, really. I read about it in the newspapers! There were a lot of small black shorthaired cats there, and the people wanted to have created a breed, so they called them Bombay cats. They actually became a breed for a short while, before these people stole the name!

My Bombays are long, slim and sleek with triangular faces. Not at all heavy or muscular builds.

My cat is a bombay but she’s a sweetheart, zoomie girl, and used to climb trees really well. Thankfully she was also good at getting down
Just to warn you guys, my bomb bay cat died at Christmas because of cancer. The vet explained their genes carry the cancer if they are pure black, absolutely no white. I will still adopt black cats but it’s heartbreaking if they do have the gene.
I used to have a black Bombay cat that I loved very much. When he died, I had his image put on the face of a watch.
At least I have something interesting on my birthday 😂
