Kitteh knows his/her name, right? Pick up kitteh, take kitteh to objects like say, the couch. Hold cat, pet while saying cat's name, then pet couch and repeat "couch", a few times. Do the same with other things the cat sees/used a lot. Repeat this exercise a few times with the same things, and pretty soon your little Meezer will be speaking to you.
