Reminds me of my neighbour's Chartreux cat, Mercury. He went to sleep last year in August. He was louder than these cats when he wanted food.
Love their little chirpy squeaks! 😻😻. Precious! And I have read that they are a very sweet affectionate cat breed.

Reminds me of my Chartreux who almost never vocalizes except for trill's and chirps. Its actually good in a way since the times I know somethings wrong is when she meows. My sister the other day got mad at her for meowing to get into a bedroom because my sister came running thinking something was wrong lol.
What cat food is that ? Mine won’t eat at all

I adopted two cats from the humane society a few years ago. If they're not purebred Chartreux, they're very close to it. They are also very quiet cats. Except when the male plays with the female. Brother, does she complain! When I first heard her I thought she was in distress. Ha, no blood, not even any ruffled fur. We have 3 other cats. She only meows when her brother "attacks" her. She is also the only one he plays with like this. They are rarely more than a few yards, meters apart from each other.
6 years ago we rescued a chartreux-mine has 5 different meows! We thought he was mute for the 1st 3 days!!! Then a little meew…so sweet unbelievable trauma he'd been through! He is the smartest animal I've ever had! He is in his forever home and he rescued me through so many adversities! He politely puts a gentle paw on my cheek to wake me up! He loves ppl-always wants to sit and listen to us-I'm retired, but if I leave-he has anziety so If I do go out-he wont leave the door til I get home-this breed is unbelievale!! Lap cat!

Iv got a charteux kitten and it was cbkrn i i my garden in England! That’s very rare! And I love her❤️
Just chiming in as a caregiver in the US to a now almost five year old chartreux lady. She is so gentle and sweet. Except when she’s hunting. And when she takes my chair (her favorite game is taking your spot when you get up momentarily). I really don’t think I could be without one of these cats now, I just love them so so much.

When I was a kid I had a Chatreaux-looking cat named Shazam. Miss the little guy. He died after getting into a fight with some evil cat from the streets.

these guys are so amazing! Those copper eyes are absurd and how nuts is it to see cats so quiet at meal time?! Not to mention that purple coat! Geez if I had a male/female pair it would be hard to want to neuter them.
