Good morning everybody. Or it might even be afternoon. I actually haven’t checked the clock. I think it is still morning though. Goodness. So, we’re at the 12 week old mark. They were 12 weeks old yesterday. And if you’re new to this channel, this is Cupcakes Litter and we followed this litter from birth. And I feel like there’s a lot of people who’ve been in in on this journey. Sorry. Yeah. Sorry. I haven’t vacuumed. I’ve cleaned the trays, but it’s been a very very busy morning. So, I really really wanted to get on and and do a 12week old update because we actually have four of them leaving tomorrow. It’s perhaps a bit sooner than I was expecting. It’s not too soon. Like, they’re absolutely big enough to leave and very ready, but it feels a little bit soon for me. So, hey, Cupcake. She’s ready for them to go. She probably won’t even notice that half of them are gone tomorrow. But yeah, for the human it’s little bit more uh bitter than sweet. It’s just yeah, they’ve been a very very special litter. But anyway, I’m going to go through each one, say who’s leaving, round about where they’re going, and um and the last two when they’ll be leaving. So, we’ll get into it. I’ve got someone chewing my arm. Hello. So here we have the two girls. We have our seal by color girl Lety and blue by color girl. If I have a name for her, I’ll put it on the screen. I am sort of entertaining one, but it’s been very difficult to find one that I like that I can shorten. So these two are flying to my friend tomorrow where they’re I I call it boarding school. They’re going to be in boarding school and they’ll probably stay with her. She’s another breeder and yeah, they’ll they’ll stay with her until they’re adults and then they will or one or both of them will come back here. We’re just doing it this way cuz if you follow the channel, you know I’m having a bit of annoyance with the local council in Victoria. Um yeah, don’t move to Victoria, Australia. It’s it’s not fun. We have so much crime here and so much trouble with our government. It is not fun. That being said, the area I live in is absolutely beautiful, but um yeah, the local council has not been very fun. So, these two girls will fly off together. And that’ll be tomorrow morning. And because they’re flying off and that means me going to Melbourne airport, I thought, well, I could try and organize two of the others leaving to go on the same day to save their owners a trip because I am quite far out. So, we have, let’s see, who can we put up? We have Mishm Mish. Mishmish is a bit of a fan favorite. So, we’re going to meet his owners in Melbourne and he’ll be going, too. Very excited family. Hey, buddy. Everybody loves you. And I think he’s behind me. And uh I mean every everyone’s a favorite in this litter at the moment, but our other boy Frodo is also being picked up tomorrow. And you can just see they they are a magnificent litter. Sorry, I’m a If it’s a wobbly camera, it’s because my feet are being bitten. So yeah, Froto, Mish Mish, um the blue by color girl and Lety all leaving tomorrow. And our others, we have Gizmo here. Gizmo, let me put you on the tree. We have Gizmo here. He will be flying to Western Australia next month, so we’ll have a bit more time with him. And Elfie down here, he’ll be picked up early next month as well. So, don’t worry, Cupcake will still have two very big boisterous kittens. I think she would probably prefer she didn’t have any, but yeah, don’t worry. It’s not going to be a total all kittens leave and she’s left childless. She’ll still have two two hanging around for a couple of weeks, which I I do quite like that. I don’t really like it when they all go in one day. Um, some of the mom’s absolutely fine with it. I think she would be. And some of them are a little bit like, “Where did everyone go? I’m alone.” You guys are absolutely full of beans today. I should have worn slippers. Protected my feet. Yeah, they’re going through this this chewy bitey play stage. So, that’s going to be fun for their new ownersh. It’s all right. Lots of toys and lots of um these teasers work really well most of the time, but I am quite confident they will settle in very quickly. And I haven’t had any issues with this litter at all. Oh, we’ve got someone hanging. Oh, so I should go over their uh their vet visit. So vet visit went really well. Um we had all the kittens have their second vaccination. They were all microchipped and that is um that is I think it’s Victorian law. I’m not sure if it’s Australian law, but it’s certainly Victorian law. So, all microchipped and we had the uh three boys desexed. Um Gizmo is getting desexed this Friday. He probably would have made the weight yesterday, but we just decided cuz there’s no hurry. It’s always better if they’re a little bit a little bit bigger for desexing. So, he is the correct weight now, but yeah, again, always better if they’re a little bit bigger. And the two girls, we had a full health screen, which the main one for that is um is the X-ray. And I’m very pleased to say they both passed their X-ray. They they both have two kidneys. Um they both have their two uterine horns, which is uh probably uh the my biggest concern with ever keeping a girl. Um, we want to make sure they’ve got all their all their internal organs. So, we always x-ray to make sure they have two kidneys. If I have any breeding girl, like any entire girl leaving for another breeder or if I’m buying one in or if I’m keeping, we always x-ray. And every ragd doll breeder should be doing that. If you’re buying a ragd doll and they’re not x-raying it as a breeding cat, um they need to be because this one kidney one horn thing for the girls is um is way more common than people think. But very glad to say they both have both have both kidneys and horns and it usually goes hand in hand. That’s yeah, you obviously can’t see the horns on the X-ray, but you can see the kidneys. I will put up a picture of the X-rays. They weren’t as clear as some of the ones I’ve had, but clear enough that we can see them. Cupcake, what are you doing in there? She’s like, I’m getting away from my children. Is it nice? They are so full of beans right now. I should have waited and done this a bit later. You know who’s on my lap? I bet it’s Mish Mish. It is. He’s always on my lap. So yeah, this is their last full day together and yeah, I couldn’t be more proud of them. They’ve just been a wonderful litter. Again, this is not by a stud that I have had before. You know, it is a friend stud boy, so we really weren’t sure what to expect. And couldn’t be happier. They’re just they’re beautiful kittens. They’re big, strong, fluffy, friendly, and I think they’re a really good example of, you know, if you are interstate or international, they’re a really good example of the quality you should look for. I mean, obviously some of these are going as breeding kittens. Um, or I’m keeping them as breeding kittens, but any of these kittens, you know, are breed quality. like they’re just fantastic examples of the ragd doll breed. I um am being chewed back here. We’re going to clip some nails before they before they leave for their new homes. Hi, Elfie. I bought them this Halloween cave yesterday. It’s uh it’s been pretty pretty cool. Mish Mish, this is the last day I’ll have you on my lap. Excuse me, I’m going to have plenty more chewing from you. Um, I didn’t say. So, to give you an idea, um, all these kittens are between 1.4 and 1.6 kilos. Sometimes they’ll be a bit bigger. Um, our vet has a loose rule of desexing at 1.5. She will do boys a little bit less, but yeah, just when when you’re picking up a ragd dog kitten, they really should be well over the 1 kilo mark. Like we went to well, I went to the when I say we, I actually mean myself and the cats. But yeah, I went to the vet yesterday with the younger litters and there’s already some kittens that are like 1.15 kilos and they’re only just over 7 weeks. So yeah, just they ragdolls are quite a big breed. They should be around the 1.5 kilo mark when you pick up a rag doll at 12 13 weeks. Obviously there’s some that are smaller than others. Like sometimes girls can be a wee bit smaller, but yeah, they if you sort of are a little bit worried about the weight, they should be a big a big kitten big or big strong kitten. Hello. Just gonna Who am I gonna pick up? Hello. And they should be quite happy being picked up. Hey, Frodo. Good chap. I have seen um another breeder sort of do like the ragdoll test in in quotes. Um, not all ragdolls are going to want to be, you know, picked up and swung around and flung on their back and everything, but they should be reasonably comfortable being handled. Anybody? Gizmo is uh definitely got springs in his his legs today. Who are you going, Letty? Oh, you found the teaser. I’m going to pick you up, Alfie. You’re going to chew on my finger. Good chap. Yep. Good boy. He’s very chill dude. Gizmo is just You are very crazy this morning. What’s funny is he’ll go go and then he will just flop just like Mishmish has done. Don’t bite him. Poor cupcake. She’s have she’s had enough of them. So yeah, if there’s any questions at all um far away. I’ll do my best to answer. I’m a little bit pressed for time at the moment. It’s just been very very busy getting getting everything done. I really I just did not have it in my head that these guys would be leaving this week. But it will be Yeah, it’s the best thing for them. They are more than ready to go. Hello, mate. Hello, Letty. You can hop on my lap now. You winding down a bit. Good chap. A, that’s a bit cute. I um what I will do is I will film a leaving video and I’ll I’ll hopefully everyone you know who’s getting one of these kittens will be happy sending an update. Usually people are we obviously have to respect people’s privacy but I will try and with the leaving video I’ll try and do like a little a touch base see how they are you know when they first arrived to their new homes and everything. There is definitely a settling in period though where like some kittens just need a bit of time to settle into the new home. But I Yeah, I’m quite confident I don’t think these guys are going to need that much time. I know. Chappie Lety is a serial toe biter. Every time I feel a needle in my toe, I know it’s her. Yes. Yes, you. Goodness. Oh, I’ll have to do some photos, too. Have to get their folders ready. So, I’ll film a little bit tonight of um of getting ready, getting the the airline crate ready and their folders and their their bags. It’s going to be a big trip tomorrow morning, but I’ll try and get a little bit of film, too. It’s actually really cool that these two are are going together. You give my friend a lot of trouble, you two. But I will definitely miss them. Yeah, it’s um usually when with um with breeding, there’s always something that happens in every litter, whether it’s the kittens get sick or there’s an injury or there’s one that’s shy or there’s something that I’m stressing about and trying to fix and working on. But apart from the slight nervousness of the um the health screen X-ray, which turned out to be absolutely fine, these guys have been so easy. just so so easy. And I haven’t um we have no shy ones in this litter. They’re all big and strong. They’re all very similar weight. Um all the lovely owners have been super easy to deal with. Yeah, they’ve just been an absolute delight. Oh, buddy. So, I will leave it there. I um I promise I will definitely do a leaving video on these guys. And I might even try and do a a six month catch up down the track and it will be easier because again two of them are going to a friend and they will probably come back here. H I’m not sure if it’ll be late next year but it will definitely um be the following year but I can keep you updated with how they’re going. So yeah, till then. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music]

Welcome to our 12 week old update on Cupcake the mother ragdoll cat and her 6 kittens. Just a quick update since their vet visit, they are recovering well. This video shows exactly what a ragdoll kitten should look and be like at the age of pickup. they should be playful, healthy, curious and confident.
This is the last video before some of the kittens leave for new families, meet each kitten and see how much they have grown.
I have included lots of cute kitten play and exploration.
The kittens all have opinions and are very brave after their vet visit.
