The Sleeping Cats*
On a peaceful afternoon, as the soft sunlight streamed through the window, two cats were curled up on a large, comfy bed. The first cat, a fluffy gray Angora with a soft, plush coat, lay with her eyes half-closed, her belly exposed, completely relaxed. She had curled herself into the perfect “cat circle” and seemed to be floating in her dreams.
The second cat, a small black one with white paws, lay with her head resting on a pillow, her eyes gently shut. Every now and then, she let out a soft, contented snore, as though she were having the most wonderful adventures in her sleep.
They dreamt of chasing mice, of sunbeams warming their fur, and endless bowls of fish. In their dreams, they were the queens of a vast, green field, happily swishing their tails and chasing their favorite toys.
And there, in the quiet room, the cats slept on. The world outside was far away, and only the peaceful rhythm of their breathing filled the air. They were happy, safe, and surrounded by love—exactly where a cat should be to have the sweetest dreams.
