Would cats remember their mother if they meet again after adoption/purchase? I wonder if the Mum’s smell is still recognisable.
A moment I had with my cat that I will cherish forever. I went out of town for a week and had my aunt cat sit for me. Came back and I saw her dart out in front of me to try and hide. I yelled out her name and she immediately turned around and walked up to me and wanted held. She knew my voice and that meant the world to me. I miss that bundle of fluff every day
I got my cat in January 2022 since my mom didn’t remember on how to take care of a cat. my cat started going bananas on her couch anywhere she can scratch we didn’t have the right materials and my mom kept yelling at her throughout the whole 2022 I would sometimes do that too. bc she did bad things to my room. overall, my cat loves me the most in my family. my sister and my mom are really sad that she only loves me 😂 p.s it is going to be her gotcha day since we don’t know her real birthday and she is going to be one!! her name is Luna btw also, I have an older cat who died when I was five this name was Chase. My parents are divorced and i live with my dad, about every month i visit my mom and my cat (who lives with my mom) he always gets super excited and comes running to me and asking for attention, i love him so much
My cats do not forget me after going somewhere for a year

Had a kitten who decided that the ceiling fan looked like a good toy……….. ONCE…….
Every time the cat came into the room after that, she would STOP, and look up at the fan. If it was on, she wouldn't go into the room.
This lasted for over 10 years.
I once pet a ferral cat on the street. It came to my house at night knocking the door. I was pretty shocked how it found my house
Of course they can!!! I know someone who's cat disappeared. He was gone for 3 yrs. They were about to move and when the moving truck pulled up and packing up the house, that feline came wandering out of the forest by their old home. He had some scars. Some old some new. But that cat came home after such a long time!
My cat escaped, and I tried so hard to find her, asked the neighborhood, traveled around my block then my city, but I never found her.. do you think she’s mad at me?
cats are miracles. the people who have cats are truly blessed.
I have 2 cats.. i move to work in another states for long. Everytime i back they are the 1st greet me from far right after i off my car engine.

Yeah like everyone said I definitely feel like they are smarter and have better memory than that. My dog is a rescue who was hit by a truck and left to die. To this day she still tries to “eat” any trucks that drive by. It’s only trucks too she’s fine with cars
