my grandma found a stray cat, decided to give it food. only let inside the kitchen during winter. mostly an outdoor cat, a few months before it randomly vanished it had a lot of mucous from its mouth and was coughing weirdly.

I'm your Subscriber and need Persian cat & kittens information thanks
i mean my cat was an outdoor cat and he lived for 19 years so…
My grandads cat is 13 and is usually an outdoor cat but doesn’t leave the property
15 years of no hunting and enjoying the nature.. I would never do that to a cat
Thanks
That first British Shorthair ain't getting close to fifteen unless he starts putting some serious work in
I had two cats pass away in the last year, one had just turned 13 ( I still have his sister, who is now 14 ) and the other had turned 12. My youngest cats are 6, and oldest is 14, with three that are 13.
My outdoor cat lived for 13 years🥺
This is a coomon lie. If they are including ferals or intirely outdoor cats then maybe. But we'll cared for cat's that are fixed, go outside, but are kept in at night and during certain holidays and are not in high traffic areas with some yard space, easily live 15 20 years or more.
Interesting in which part of the world this statistics apply? I grew up in rural area, my grandparents always had 2-3 cats in their farm (living outside or with cows but coming inside to sleep, eat when they wanted to). All the cats lived 10-15 years. One even lived 18. They were never given any medicine that nowdays is given to cats or vaccinated. It is crazy when you think about it. My cat now has a microchip and a passport, lol.
my outdoor cat is at least 13 years old by now. I've known him since i was 6
