  3. @kuehlgel … um… first of all they do have a natural odor that is not always favorable, it helps with shedding, and it keeps their skin and fur healthy. Clean themselves they may, but specific animal shampoo can do things SALIVA can't…. Come on, don't be so close minded.

  11. Awww… sweet Moire got a bath! It gets really hot here where I live, humid too. In the summer, we give our kitties baths to help them cool down.

  13. You can cat proof your house and keep it spotless but I guarantee that an indoor cat can still find something that will be bath causing. 🙂 the funny reactions are just a bonus to compensate for enduring the blood loss resulting from the flying claws of steel… 😉

  14. @DicentraSpectabilis Here in Brazil, we have the habit of giving bath on our animals in the summer (which is very hot with temperatures going above 40ºC) and in winter (when the weather gets cold), we put them in blankets to not catch a pneumonia.

  15. @Luettes Bathing a cat is pretty normal, not everyone does it, but it is ok to do it once a week, even.

  16. I bathe my three cats about twice a year. As much as they clean themselves, sometimes a cat will roll in something that a tongue cannot clean…

  17. @ParkLeeNa My oldest cat, I rescued from the shelter. Her mom died playing no part in her life. No other cat taught her to clean herself either. She does not clean anything except her toes. within a week or two of not cleaning herself, she will smell like poo from not cleaning her butt. She gets oily from not licking her body. It is disgusting. This is a good reason to give a cat a bath. Trust me, it's not for pleasure. Afterwards, I blow dry and brush her. She loves it.

  18. @kuehlgel seriously? well, lets see you wash yourself with your own saliva. I don't think you would get yourself clean as much as shampoo can.

  19. @zeonb Seriously? You wish terrorist acts on America because people don't like to bathe cats? And you think we're the ones that are tweaked. America is one of the largest countries in the whole world. You talk down to us but have nothing to show for it. Not EVERYONE in America hates to bathe cats, stop treating it like it's all of America's fault because some stupid trolls on youtube (who you don't even know if they are from America) don't like bathing cats. At least we actually HAVE morals.

  23. Just a little fact to throw in: Cats have no sweat glands and they lick their fur to regulate their body temperature.

  30. @PriusRider its good to give ur cat a nice refreshing bath everyonce and awhile make their fur extra nice and soft and makes em smell good
