this is an Egyptian Mau kitten he’s silver in color the breed comes in three different colors uh silver tends to be the predominant color that you see at the shows but it also comes in a bronze color and in a smoke they’re considered a mediumsized cat they’re supposed to um have longer legs they um are the the only naturally occurring spotted cat that’s been domesticated so the Egyptian Mau does not require a lot of bre of grooming uh particularly if it’s uh your pet at home they’re very active they like to run they like to jump they tend to climb and they’ve been around for as a breed for several thousand years and there are pictures of them on the Egyptian tombs [Music]

The gentle Egyptian Mau is the only domesticated cat with a naturally occurring spotted coat. This breed has been clocked at 30 miles per hour and has extraordinary leaping ability.

  1. I bought one for myself and my mother, fantastic cats and very different behaviour from what I am used too. Very active, very nosey, very intelligent and can read you like a book! Very affectionate and kinda got dog like qualities, understands what you mean, well learns too pretty quickly. Tends to test the boundaries a lot! Likes to talk a lot, often just walks about meowing or chortling. Always wants to be were they r not allowed. Fantastic cat breed, I adore mine who shares my home with an exotic Persian, they give each other space as well as play together. If your looking for something completely different an Egyptian must be considered! I doubt you will see another, they r incredibly fast and agile, and loves to do runs around the home, diving through gaps etc, or unusual to find her resting on top of an open door! You won’t have a dull moment with this breed, even at 3am lol time isn’t relative in their world lol hope this helps to anyone considering one!

  2. This looks exactly like my cat but I live in the states ??? And we didn’t buy her or anything. Her mother was a stray. Weird.

  3. I have one to! His name is Lucas and his SUPER ACTIVE he likes to play A LOT and he sleeps less than 5-6 hours his super nice and can be clumsy but his very sweet and he loves attention!he never stop following me or play with me I love him a lot <3

  4. I also have an egyptian cat

She started of cute (I still love her just as much) but now her voice became way more rough and deep (she isn't sick)

She also became louder more annoying and became WAY longer

What I mean with longer is that she's a big cat but her head is small and she is skinny (not underweight) and has long legs and a REALLY long tail (almost like a Rat) and Ill admit she doesn't have the prettiest colors but let me tell you, She is THE nicest cat that I know

She's really nice to other cats and even if a cat is growling at her she either walks away or does nothing

  5. If you have a Egyptian Mau you've been blessed treat him or her with Honor as they deserve it I Honor Goddess Bastet Cat Goddess, Thanks and take care

  6. Beautiful cats, but make sure you know what you're getting into before you get one. They're VERY active and athletic and NEED a LOT of space to run and especially climb. They'll get on top of everything. Also, don't think you can just leave them to their own devices, they're very intelligent so need constant stimulation – The Mau we fostered for a while liked to play fetch, which I gather is quite common. He figured out how to open the cupboards and bedside drawers in no time. You better show them what is in every single cupboard or they'll never shut up about it! They'll get quickly bored if left on their own and that's when the destruction starts!

All that being said he was probably the sweetest most affectionate submissive cat I've ever owned. Great fun to play with. First night with us – he was 8 months – he got straight into bed between us, cosied up with his paws on my back and went straight to sleep.

  7. I have an Egyptian mau and I work with lots of wildlife, my mau really reminds me of a cheetah but not shy 🙂 I love mine so much but, definitely not for everyone!! Super active and high energy

  8. My sister had an Egyptian Mau. She's was a smoky bronze. Large for her size. Very mature cat, she would not play with toys but she would observe her kittens play, a great mother.

  9. They’re active. They like to run and jump.

    Yeah dude, that’s all cats.

Do they just randomly pick shit to say about specific breeds?

  10. I found a baby in rich neighborhood, probably ran away from some family, because I have to get them established first before letting them outside. Man this cat is active . So intelligent
