  1. I leave food in my backyard at night, which started when a lost cat (identified from a letterbox drop) made her way to my place. Now I think it’s mostly for the neighbourhood feline con artists. They know I take the food up at around 5.30pm, and are usually around, sometimes visible, sometimes out of sight (I have a small security camera near the dishes so I know what’s happening). What amuses me is a group of birds is always waiting – unless it’s raining heavily – hoping to get first dibs on the cat food! And for those who worry about the cat/bird thing, I observed a long time ago that the birds are pretty smart: they soon get the measure of the cats and know which ones to avoid, and which ones they can get away with teasing!

  2. I always say that cats have watches! It's incredible how they do things on time! If you come to feed them at 1,they will always be there at that time, waiting or looking for their food at such a time😊. It's incredible!
