Thank you for your good thoughts. Puff is back from the specialist ER after being unable to urinate due to a blockage. Because of his size and age, he isn’t a good candidate for a procedure to clear his urethra, so we will continue with medications and home remedies.

The doctor at the clinic was very compassionate and even demonstrated some techniques to help. I was prepared to spend a few thousand dollars, but they only charged me for the basics and didn’t bill me for the ultrasound. They were also very accommodating when I needed to feed Coco and Puff.

Having GB with me was really nice. I only got two hours of sleep last night and ended up passing out on two chairs pushed together while waiting. GB loafed on my chest.

Puff is still eating well, active, and alert. The hardest part is helping him relieve himself. It’s uncomfortable for him, and each time is a long process, but without it, he wouldn’t survive. The doctor said he might improve on his own or may require intervention when he’s older.

It has been a very stressful day, and it will continue to be until he can go on his own. 💗

  1. Praying for you as you step into a sobering commitment of care and skill. And for Puff to respond to that with a healing of his retention issue. Thank you for taking us all with you so that we can care in a real manner. God bless you all.

  2. Prayers for you and Puff, may you get through this difficulty with Grace. Looks like Phoebe is coming through big time with her loving healing. I bet GB is making sure that you get as much TLC as he can give. ❤🙏

  6. Sending warm healing hugs to you darling Puff ❤ hope you feel better soon. Thank you mama for all that you do for them, you're an inspiration and a testament to what love really is ❤

  7. Bless you for stepping in…we had a mama give birth to six kittens(yes neutered now) it was discovered at 6wks one of them was born without a lower bowel or anus…I know it's different but at 8wks we made that choice Even though still very young and little… thankfully it worked 🙏 they actually used the wall of her vagy😅 to be her lower bowel and created an opening for the solid waste…they gave her possibly 2 years 😬 but our gorgeous baby lived until she was 9 years old, considering her condition that was actually amazing..so my message is…there's always hope in adversity, love perseverance, and determination will get you through, I know you have all these and more…I'm quietly confident this amazing kitty WILL make it especially with you guys as her caregiver 🙌

  8. I am so sorry you and Puff are going thru this. He is so lucky to hv you!! You, Puff and your family are in my prayers!! And, since St. Gertrude is already involved, I'll pray to St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. Puffer needs all the help he can get!!

  9. Sweet little one. I rescued a male kitten once who wasn't able to urinate. His urethra was too small so they had to enlarge it. He was lucky it worked. Praying for Puff.
