Bright-Eyed Japanese Bobtail (ブライトアイド・ジャパニーズ・ボブテイル)

Ex-rescue kitten Ficus has a beautiful face. I’m always surprised by how he can show various emotions using his eyes. His eyes go big and round as he sits on a tree trunk and looks at his surroundings. Being an indoor cat, Ficus likes to explore beautiful gardens when we go out for walks.

On January 3, 2021 we found Ficus hiding underneath a pickup truck. He was tiny, skinny, starving, full of fleas and earmites. We estimated that he was about 3 months old. We brought him to our home in the countryside and he grew up with our doggies Emma & Shirley. Later on we found out that he is a Japanese bobtail. That explains his very playful nature. He’s also highly intelligent and affectionate. He will turn 5 years old this September 2025.

2021年1月3日、私たちはピックアップトラックの下に隠れているフィカスを見つけました。彼は小さく、痩せていて、飢えていて、ノミと耳ダニだらけでした。私たちは彼が約3か月齢であると推定しました。私たちは彼を田舎の家に連れて行き、彼は私たちの犬のエマとシャーリーと一緒に育ちました。後に、彼が日本のボブテイルであることがわかりました。それが彼の非常に遊び好きな性格を説明しています。彼はまた、非常に賢く、愛情深いです。彼は2025年9月に5歳になります。
