These Exotic Cats Cost Thousands Of Dollars — Here’s Why
Last month, the American Kennel Club and The International Cat Association hosted Meet the Breeds — an annual event where people get to interact and play with over 200 different breeds of dogs and cats.
After playing with the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, we went over to the cat section and stumbled upon several exotic (and expensive) breeds.
From the hairless Sphynx to the 30-pound Savannah, watch the video to learn more about these exotic cats.

Seriously, i have a savannah cat it costs less than 100 dollars
I got my abyssinian for $200 when she was 6 months old. She just passed away. 9yrs young. I miss her.
I would say that all those breeds can be bought for max. 800€, except the Savannah. The Bengal & Sphynx is often even only 600€. That goes of course only for purebred kittens with pedigree. Adult cats with pedigree are often cheaper.
Go to your local shelter and adopt.
NONSWNESE! I'll adopt a NEEDY cat from the Animal SHelter!
Meh…. I'll take a brown tabby from the Humane Society. Can't imagine paying $1k for a cat when animal services websites have cats marked "time sensitive" (will be put down by this date) just waiting to be adopted. I have a beautiful brown tabby boy who was five days away from being put down. He loves every person he meets.
Abys and their long haired cousins the Somali are a lot of fun. Same cat, just different length coats. They sometimes fetch, mostly the females, love heights and love to party and can be kittenish for a long time. Though the more extreme Abys have less undercoat and get cold easier than their long haired counterparts. A mix of the two is often more requested in my experience since the Aby coat is getting shorter and shorter. Abys are used for outcrosses for genetic diversity in Somalis. In TICA the offspring are considered Abys.
