My kids to cats did the same thing but the mail he would crawl on top of my head and he would make little sounds and use his little paws and he would need into my head and it made him happy we loved him and I do believe that's very true they do that because they do feel safe and content in their home❤❤❤❤❤❤

As someone who has owned literally hundreds of cats (animal rescue) I can confidently say that this is not why they do it. This is a clear indication that they have been taken from their mother too early. (Some cats do it regardless of how long they were with their mother, but this is true in about 90% of them) It's called neading and is what they do to their mother's breasts to stimulate milk production.
