A two-month-old female pygmy hippo named Moo Deng is melting hearts around the world.
This Thai pygmy hippopotamus living in Khao Kheow Open Zoo has gained fame as a popular Internet meme after images of her went viral online. She’s been an online sensation ever since her zookeepers at the Khao Kieu Open Zoo in
Thailand started uploading snippets of her life online. The director of the zoo says visitors have been queuing 45 minutes before the enclosure even opens. Her name ‘Moo Deng’ translates from Thai as ‘bouncing pig.’

  1. The saddest part is that no one will care in a few years, a cute youthful appearance is overrated and temporary, although necessary for survival.

  2. "Moo deng" in English can be called *bouncy pork balls* or **springy pork balls**, which describes the bouncy and chewy texture of bouncy pork in Thai or Chinese food.
