In an unfortunate incident, Darby, a 5-month-old cat, was reported to have fallen from a towering 20-foot tree. Now suffering from the aftermath, she will need immediate and costly surgery to mend her fractured femur.

Darby’s distressed state was evident as she limped on her left rear leg, trying to find solace, her mind rattled by the shock of it all. Her heartbreaking pleas for help were carried off by the wind as she struggled against unimaginable pain and trauma. Thankfully, someone had witnessed her fall and hastily alerted our rescue. Without hesitation, we heeded the call and sped over to where she was initially found.

The moment we laid eyes on her, we knew the situation at hand was severe. Darby’s eyes were filled with an agonizing sorrow, and we just knew we had to save her, and fast. Carefully, we lifted her from the harsh floor and raced her back to our rescue for immediate treatment. The entire drive, she struggled to get comfortable, the piercing pain worsening with each passing moment.

Back at our facility, we realized that Darby had fractured her femur when her delicate, 4lbs body smacked against the ground. Fortunately, we were able to schedule her surgery with our trusted vet to restore her leg. In the meantime, Darby was also spayed, and she has been given nourishing food and extensive treatment to aid her during this trying time.
